Hi all. does anyone who uses jaws nine final release have this problem with word 2003. when trying to read with the pc curser in word 2003 jaws does not speak a thing. use the jaws curser and all's fine, but the pc curser won't speak a dam thing? I know it's not just my pc, because others I have spoken to have had this issue.
Hmm. I just installed the final release today, and I don't appear to be having any problem with word. Does it do this every time?
Have you uninstalled and tried reinstalling? One thing I was having problems with not too long ago was for some reason it and my videeo card and the video intercept weren't playing nice. I had to uninstall and reinstall video intercept, and I've started not having jaws start until after I'm logged into the system. This seems to have cleared up my problems. Not sure any of that will help with your case or not.
yes, I think those may help. I'm finding that jaws 9 doesn't seem to screw up as much starting with the system as 8.x did. Anyawys though the word support in jaws9 is better then ever, and I'm not noticing any serius issues with it. I'm also using word 2003, and I can read things just fine.
i have installed and repaired word and jaws nine without success. I know of others who have had this issue with their pc's and jaws nine. I am now using system access to access my pc, only using jaws as and when I need to. as all copies of jaws seem to act the same now. I'm really frustrated. .
Have you considered contacting technical support? I'd still say try uninstalling and reinstalling your video drivers and video intercept.
